Easy does it, every time.

Go easy on your fabrics- with biopreparation, or enzymatic scouring, the easy and gentle way to scour fabrics. Our enzymes remove impurities from textiles to improve quality and consistent dyeing – easy peasy every time.

A gentle process for consistent and even dyeing, every time.

Biopreparation uses pectinase to remove the pectin and wax from cotton fiber. The process produces fabrics with instant absorbency for an even dyeing result – both on undyed cotton and on a wide range of colors, and from dark to medium shades.

A pectin test kit is available for process benchmarking and consistency control.

Breaking conventions

    Save water and time

Conventional scouring accounts for 25% of water used in cotton knit manufacturing. BioPrep® products only need one bath, saving of up to 67% in water usage. Fewer baths cut pretreatment time in half.

    Reduce energy and chemical usage

The strong alkaline and bleaching chemicals involved in conventional scouring add high chemical loads to mills’ effluent and involve very high temperatures. With Bioprep® products, you can eliminate harsh chemicals from your scouring process and save up to 50% on energy costs.

    Stronger, softer fabrics

Enzymatic scouring is a gentle process that takes place at neutral pH.  With biopreparation, cotton textiles also keep their natural softness for longer. That means there's no need for chemical softeners.
